Falk, György: 3D color printingAcrobat-Reader-icon_48x48

3D printing technologies are developing in a very fast way. People are talking about the third industrial revolution. The fact that the developers consider different demands in their developments of new 3D printers. The Objet500 Connex3 from Stratasys, the world's only full-color and multi-material 3D printer.

Dr. Dudenhöffer, Ferdinand: World car market – 5% growth in premium category with China and Middle East as major driversAcrobat-Reader-icon_48x48

The passenger car world market grows by 5%, i.e. by 3.56 million new cars to 74.2 million pieces in 2014. The half of this quantity is manufactured in China, thus, the Chinese market expands by 11%, i.e. 1.74 million new cars. New car sales rise also in the USA, however, at a much slower rate while, in Europe, new car market is far below the level of the former years, but a slow return to previous sales levels can be observed. The greatest winners among vehicle manufacturers come from the premium sector.

Dr. Lehoczki, László: Plastics in automotive industry Acrobat-Reader-icon_48x48

The global automotive plastics market is primarily driven by passenger car production and increasing plastics utilization in vehicle designs. As automakers are challenged to build vehicles that are more environmentally friendly, they will use more plastics. This presents a significant opportunity for manufacturers of raw materials. The utilization of automotive plastics means potential for reduction of automobile mass and fuel consumption. The factors restraining the growth of market are high material cost and huge investment in material research activities, while – on the other hand – opportunities are opened up in the development of new materials.

Dr. Macskásiné Éltető, Éva: Trends in the world's plastics industry during K 2013. V. Plastics in organic and printed electronicsAcrobat-Reader-icon_48x48

The Press Service of K 2013 International Trade Fair in Düsseldorf asked plastic industrial experts – as usual – to present the new achievements of their field to journalists invited to the trade fair. This series was prepared on the basis of the reviews made by them. The fifth part discusses application of polymers in organic and printed electronics.

Alhegyi, Ildikó; Haláchy, Nóra; Morvai, Viktória; Varga, András: Polimarker – Product demo set for high-school pupilsAcrobat-Reader-icon_48x48

Polimarker set can widen knowledge of high school pupils about plastics, address them and catch their interest. It excels not only at its novelty as compared to the training packages until now but it may deliver a lot of useful information both to trainers and plastics experts.

Based on joint market report of Carbon Composites e.V. (CCeV) and Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V. (AVK), carbon fibre manufacturers, distribution of carbon fibre capacities by region, carbon fibre plastics demand in tons, distribution of production procedures, carbon fibre turnover by application and carbon fibre consumption by market segments aerospace and defense, sports and leisure, wind power plants and automotive by region and in tons are presented to 2020.

Suplicz, András; dr. Kovács, József Gábor: Thermally conductive polymers in the electronics – benefits of the hybrid filler systemAcrobat-Reader-icon_48x48

Nowadays the materials, which are thermally conductive, electrically insulating and can be processed economically, are important for the electronic industry. For this claim a new solution could be the thermally conductive polymer compounds. In most cases the conventionally used metals can be replaced by these materials. In this work a new polypropylene based injection moldable compound with hybrid filler system was prepared. In our paper the thermal and mechanical analysis of this material are presented. Positiv synergistic effect was shown between the fillers in thermal conductivity, which helps to lower the costs.
